How to get press coverage for Eventing in your local community

In order for Eventing to survive as a sport, we need more publicity, more supporters, more sponsors… Instead of sitting on our hands and doing nothing about it, we as riders need to become proactive. Contact local newspapers, local radio stations and newspapers. Drum up interest, invite non horsey friends and family to watch you at events. The list is endless. If you live near where an event is held, contact the organisers to see if you can hand out flyers or post on your social media accounts to promote the event. Even if your post only reaches 3 new people, multiply that by the number of competitors – an event with only 250 competitors could potentially drum up 750 more fans… Which is pretty cool when you think about it.

Connecting readers with the real sport of Eventing. Striving to educate, engage and entertain riders, fans and supporters to help grow the sport worldwide.
